Laurie Luh has been named Senior Director of Human Resources and Office Operations for Participant Media, it was announced today by Participant CEO Jim Berk.
Said Berk, “This new position is both an acknowledgment of Laurie’s extraordinary skill in recruiting top talent to a company that uniquely combines entertainment with social action and digital media, and a reflection of her expanded responsibilities in managing all aspects of human resources for a team that has grown threefold over the course of her tenure.”
One of Participant’s original employees, Laurie joined the company in July 2004. She oversees its robust intern program and recently was responsible for coordinating the design and construction of Participant’s new LEED-certified corporate offices at 331 Foothill Road and last month’s company move there.
Laurie began her career at MBNA America Bank in Newark, Delaware where she supported new hire and ongoing education. During this time Fortune magazine ranked MBNA one of the top companies to work for in the United States. Laurie also spent time at Fox Broadcasting in Los Angeles where she worked in Current Programming on such shows as House, That 70s Show and The Bernie Mac Show.
Laurie received her B.A. from the University of Delaware, where she majored in English with a concentration in Film.
