Amanda Garrison is Director of Marketing and Events for Participant Media. She’s been with the company since August 2004, when there were only 10 people and she was the entire marketing department. Over the next four years, Participant and its marketing department grew, and so did her responsibilities; she went from Marketing Coordinator to Manager of Marketing and Events to her current role as Director, where she is responsible for planning and executing Participant’s events including premieres, screenings, film festivals, holiday parties and corporate retreats and for liaising with the distributors on all events related to Participant’s film releases. In addition, she is responsible for overseeing the production of all marketing materials to promote Participant’s social action campaigns.
Prior to joining Participant, Amanda worked at BriteVision Media, the company that invented cup sleeve advertising, where she created all backend reports for the company’s advertising campaigns and managed their street teams across the county.
A 2002 graduate of Arizona State University, where she majored in marketing and sociology, Amanda is the co-founder and Director of Special Events for Be Stirred, a network dedicated to enriching the lives of young adults by introducing them to social issues through events featuring the world’s most effective non-profit leaders, business moguls, social entrepreneurs and entertainers.
