Matt Randall

Director, Digital Business Operations

Matt Randall was named Director, Digital Business Operations for Participant Media in January 2012.  As the primary liaison between the Digital and Business Affairs teams, he is responsible for drafting and administering Digital’s contracts along with overseeing Digital’s production activities and managing third party vendor relationships.  From the time he joined the company in 2006 until December 2011, he has served as Manager of Business Operations, where he supported Business and Legal Affairs, as well as the Finance Department, working closely with all of the organizational areas of the company, including narrative and documentary film, television, digital, and social action, in order to ensure that the various departments' business and legal needs are met.

In his free time, Matt also volunteers as a Battalion Coordinator with the Los Angeles Fire Department's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Matt is responsible for organizing CERT volunteers and activities in a large portion of the city, including organizing and conducting trainings, and forming neighborhood CERT teams throughout his battalion. On occasion, Matt is also activated by the LAFD to respond to large incidents, such as wildfires or a train crash.

Prior to joining Participant, Matt held a variety of positions at various companies in the entertainment industry -- Seiniger Advertising, Sony Pictures Imageworks, New Regency Productions, Nash Entertainment -- and worked in physical production on SpiderMan 2 and a game show called Balderdash.

Matt lives in Los Angeles, but loves Washington, DC, as well, where he attended Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business.
