Bonnie Stylides has joined Participant Media as Senior Vice President, Business Affairs, it was announced today by Jeff Ivers, COO, Participant Media. Stylides, who will report to Ivers, is responsible for handling the business affairs for Participant's development and production activities, as well as providing legal support for the Company's social action activities.
Ivers said, “Bonnie’s excellent reputation and considerable experience in handling business and legal affairs for both major motion picture companies as well as independent producers, filmmakers and other talent make her a most welcome addition to the Participant team. “
Stylides, a Stanford Law School graduate, most recently served as Outside Counsel to Summit Entertainment and Business Affairs Consultant to Phoenix Pictures, while representing other legal clients such as independent feature film producers, documentary filmmakers, book authors, visual artists and various pro-bono clients. From 1997 to 2005, she served as Senior Counsel in the Motion Picture division of Paramount Pictures, where she negotiated and drafted agreements involving rights, talent, co-financing, acquisitions and various aspects of film production. Prior to that, Bonnie was an associate in the entertainment departments of Katten Muchin and Kaye Scholer.
Her extensive volunteer efforts have benefited causes ranging from abused children to arts education to illiteracy to public radio, and her pro-bono legal clients include non-profits raising money for breast cancer research, seeking reparations for Holocaust survivors and protecting voters rights.
Before attending law school, Stylides worked in television and commercial production and book publishing in New York City.
